Calibration lab in the dimensional area that has equipment, patterns and qualified technical staff with great experience for the calibration of measuring tools in the dimensional area of lengths, shapes and position.
Realizamos calibraciones en laboratorio y también “in situ”, en las instalaciones del cliente. Nuestros patrones están calibrados con referencia a patrones nacionales, en laboratorios acreditados. We carry out calibrations in lab and also in situ in the client's facilities. Our patterns are calibrated based on national patterns in accredited labs.
Laboratory Scope
Equipments we calibrate
Within the dimensional area we include 18 physical magnitudes, which we can group in macrogeometry (dimensions (length and angle) and shapes (shapes, orientation, position and oscillation)) and microgeometry or superficial quality.
The more used dimensional patterns, because of their versatility and high precision are the longitudinal pattern blocks.
They are parallelepiped-shaped blocks, of rectangular section and that can be made of steel (chromed or stainless), tungsten carbide with cobalt, sintered chromium carbide or ceramic.
The main characteristics of a longitudinal pattern block are the total length, the length at the center, the flatness of the measuring faces, the difference or variation of lengths at any point of the measuring faces, deviation from the nominal length, reference conditions (temperature and atmospheric pressure) and adhesion.
The following degrees of precision for longitudinal pattern blocks are distinguished: K, 0, 1 and 2
When it comes to angular calibrations, angular pattern blocks are used likewise.
Dimensional measurement equipment
Calibration consists of comparing the values indicated by the measuring instrument that is to be calibrated with the values of the pattern masses that are used in specific conditions and with a defined method, that takes into consideration the influence of the different factors that affect the reading of the equipment that is to be calibrated. The calibration is carried out in a controlled and documented way.
The calibration ensures the reliability of the measurements of the calibrated equipments and to warrant the adequate functioning in the facilities and processes where they are used, contributing to increase quality.
The result of the calibration is collected in a Calibration Certificate, where the correction values to be applied in different considered calibration points will be indicated, as well as the uncertainty of those measures.
